Note: The first four flavors were all part of the 2018 Flavor Challenge and were discontinued after the promotion ended, despite Wild winning the consumer vote. Exact release dates for Crunchy Fajitas weren't available in my research, but it was confirmed discontinued in 2024.

Buffalo wing flavors were introduced on rolled tortilla chips in summer 2018. Wild was Takis' bold attempt to capture America's obsession with buffalo wings in snack form.
Part of Takis' first-ever Flavor Challenge, Wild competed against three other experimental flavors in a democratic taste test. Consumers could text "WILD" to vote, and against all odds. This buffalo ranch creation won the hearts (and taste buds) of snackers nationwide.
Despite winning the contest that promised the victor would become permanent, these wild chips were discontinued by 2019. A classic case of corporate promises versus market realities.
Discontinued: 2019
What if you could take the flavors of a hamburger and turn it into a chip?
This wasn't your typical spicy Takis experience. Angry Burger broke the mold by focusing on savory complexity rather than pure heat. These chips featured hamburger seasonings with a tangy dill pickle flavor profile that was equal parts familiar and bizarre.
Released during what snack historians call "the summer of the pickle," when pickle-flavored everything was trending. From ice pops to popcorn, pickles were having a moment.
Too weird for mainstream success, too interesting to forget. Angry Burger's bizarre pickle flavor was just not meant to last long term.
Discontinued: 2019
When cheese meets chipotle, magic should happen. Lava took Takis' signature heat with a creamy twist.
These Takis came in orange packaging that promised a molten experience. Smoky chipotle peppers wrapped in a cheese-flavored sensation. It was Takis' answer to those who wanted heat with a side of comfort.
In a contest dominated by more experimental flavors, Lava's straightforward cheese-and-pepper approach felt almost conservative. It was a safer bet than other experimental flavors.
Gone but not forgotten. We miss you, Takis Lava.

Chipotle and lime. A classic combination that works almost every time. Titan embodied the smoky sophistication that Mexican cuisine is known for.
While other challenge flavors went off the rails (Angry Burger) or mainstream (Wild), Titan stayed true to Takis' Mexican roots. Smoky chipotle provided the base, while lime added that essential citrus pop that makes Mexican snacks addictive.
Though it didn't survive the challenge, Titan influenced future Takis flavors. You can taste its DNA in later releases, which balance smoke and citrus.
A titan in name, a footnote in snack history.
Discontinued: 2024
Unlike the flash-in-the-pan challenge flavors, Crunchy Fajitas had staying power. For nearly a decade, it occupied shelf space as the "mild" option in the Takis lineup. Perfect for those with more sensitive palettes.
By 2024, changing consumer preferences and streamlined product lines finally caught up with this Tex-Mex veteran. Fans discovered its disappearance gradually, leaving Amazon reviews lamenting the quiet exit of their favorite flavor.
Sometimes the quiet ones last the longest, but eventually, even they must make room for the next generation.
