POWER-C (ACEROLA CHERRY)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinued: 2005

Power-C was one of the earliest Vitaminwater flavors. It featured an acerola cherry flavor. Marketing positioned it for its vitamin C content, but it was among the first to be discontinued as the brand refined its portfolio.

RESCUE (GREEN TEA)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinued: 2006

Rescue (green tea) was first discontinued in Canada and had a similar fate soon after in the US market. Rescue aimed to combine hydration with green tea benefits but failed to gain sufficient market traction.

FORMULA 50 (GRAPE)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinuation Date: 2010

This flavor was created via a partnership with rapper 50 Cent, who received a minority share in the company in exchange for becoming a spokesperson. This grape-flavored variant was heavily promoted through hip-hop culture. When Coca-Cola bought Glacéau in 2007, Forbes estimated 50 Cent’s after-tax cut to be $100 million. The flavor was discontinued without an official explanation.

B-RELAXED (JACKFRUIT-GUAVA)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinued: 2012

Discontinued along with Tranquilo, Endurance, Rescue, and Balance as part of a portfolio refresh with new packaging, reformulation, and new varieties. The B-Relaxed featured an exotic jackfruit-guava combination. But it was most known for its promotion of relaxation benefits with B vitamins. It featured 100% daily value of vitamins B3, B5, B6, and B12.

TRANQUILO (TAMARIND-PINEAPPLE)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinued: 2012

This flavor combined tamarind-pineapple flavor that was culturally inspired but didn’t achieve mainstream appeal. It was discontinued as part of the same portfolio refresh.

ENDURANCE (PEACH-MANGO)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinued: 2012

The endurance featured a peach-mango flavor. It was marketed toward fitness enthusiasts. The lineup came as part of the other discontinued Vitaminwater drinks like “Focus,” “Endurance,” “Refresh,” and “Essential.”

DEFENSE (LEMON-ICE)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinuation Date: 2011

This Vitaminwater flavor featured lemon-ice flavor and was positioned around immune system support, part of the brand’s wellness-focused messaging.

STRESS-B (LEMON-LIME)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinued: 2011

This was another lemon-lime variant that focused on stress relief through B-vitamin supplementation. But it also failed to make it through the 2010s.

RESILIENT-C (GRAPE RASPBERRY)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinued: 2014

Resilient was part of Vitaminwater’s zero-calorie lineup, which was phased out to make space for Rise (orange) and Squeezed (lemonade). Most grape flavors made “only brief and unsuccessful appearances” in the Canadian market.

RECOUP (PEACH MANDARIN)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinued: 2014

Another discontinued zero-calorie flavor that was phased out as part of Canadian portfolio refresh. It was originally available as a 10-calorie option before being converted to zero-calorie.

SPARK (GRAPE BLUEBERRY)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinued: 2014

Spark was launched to bring the total number of Vitaminwater flavors to 11, but it was phased out relatively quickly.

FRUITWATER (ENTIRE LINE)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinued: 2015

Fruitwater was a less sweetened, sparkling version of Vitaminwater with the same ingredients only with a light fruit flavor and less crystalline fructose. Coca-Cola discontinued the drink in 2015 due to poor sales.

VITAL-T (LEMON TEA)

The Coca-Cola Company

Discontinued: 2015

This lemon tea flavor was positioned around energy and focused on benefits. The brand announced its retirement on social media, noting the flavor had “retired (off on a beach...)”, showing how discontinuations had become part of the brand’s evolving narrative.
